Clyde Franklin Brown served in the U.S. Army
Clyde Franklin Brown, age 92, of Ada, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 12:45 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
Clyde was born on November 12, 1929, in Louisville, Kentucky to Cholia and Lacy Brown, who preceded him in death. He served proudly in the United State Army during the Korean War, stationed in Korea for four years. Clyde married Betty Jo Hall on February 26, 1954, in Ada, Ohio. She preceded him in death on January 25, 2017. Clyde retired from Lima’s Clark Equipment in 1981. He then worked for General Dynamics in Lima until he retired in 1992.
Clyde was preceded in death by brothers: Gene (LaVon) Brown, and Willis Brown; sisters: Bureeda (Earl) Hackworth, Mildred (Dave) Burkholder, and infant, Pauline Brown; brothers-in-law: Clinton Selvage, and Jack Wallen.
Clyde is survived by his brother, Larry (Charlotte) Brown; and sisters: Aileen Wallen, Vi (Jim) Wilson, Elwanda Hastings, and Judi (Russel) Ludwig; and a sister-in-law, Julie Brown.
It was Clyde’s wish to be cremated. A public visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
