Like it or not, August is here and back to school preparations have begun. This upcoming weekend, the State of Ohio has a sales tax holiday on selected items related to school:

• Friday, August 5, 2022 at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
• An item of clothing priced at $75 or less
• An item of school supplies priced at $20 or less
• An item of school instructional material priced at $20 or less

That makes this week a perfect time to check what you already have on hand for student clothing and school supplies. Ada Schools has Elementary School Supply lists at the link below and attached HERE.

Elementary students should bring supplies to the Open House on August 17, or the first day of school on August 18. In addition to classroom materials, all students, grades K-6, are to bring a pair of tennis shoes to be left at school for gym class.
