Bulldogs golf in 3-team league match

The Ada High School golf team competed in a three-school Northwest Conference match Thursday, August 11, at the Bluffton Golf Course.
The Pirates finished first with 178 strokes, followed by Columbus Grove (193) and Ada (238).
Jaden Coonfare of Bluffton was match medalist with a nine-hole score of 41.
Junior Jack Baumgartner led Ada with a score of 51. Senior Geddes Klingler shot a close second for the Bulldogs by carding a 52.
Freshman Dale Hoyt shot a round of 65, while classmate Hayden Shaffer was the fourth Ada scorer with a total of 70.
Freshman Sam Crawford added a round of 80 as the fifth Bulldog linkster.
Ada fell to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the NWC with the results. Bluffton improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in league play with the wins. Grove is 2-3 overall and 1-2 in NWC action.
Ada plays county foe Ridgemont at the Kenton Memorial Park Golf Course Wednesday, August 17.
Bluffton plays Riverdale and Calvary Christian Tuesday, August 16 at Sycamore Springs Golf Club.
