Helen M. McPheron worked for Wilson Sporting Goods
Helen M. McPheron, age 93, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 9:05 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on March 26, 1929, in Findlay, Ohio to the late, Daniel and Vardie (Bushong) Greiser. Helen married James Marshall, later Kenneth Allmon and Robert G. “Bob” McPheron and they preceded her in death.
Helen retired from Wilson Sporting Goods of Ada, where she worked as personnel manager from 1966 to 1993. She worked for Mickle’s Cleaners from 1965 to 1966. Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ada. Helen was a life member of the Ada VFW Post #9381 Auxiliary, where she served as the past president. She was a member and past president of the Eagles Auxiliary #2166, Bellefontaine Golden Age Eagles. She was a life member of the AmVets Auxiliary #39 of Lakeview. Helen was a member of the Ada Senior Citizens.
Helen is survived by her son, Steve (Jan) Marshall of Ada; two daughters: Cathy (Tony) Hobensack of Harrod, and Judy (Kevin) Roberson of Harrod; twelve grandchildren: Tony (Melissa) Marshall, Jamie (Amber) Sizemore, David (Victoria) Marshall, Joe Hobensack, Todd (Natalie) Roberson, Erin Robinson, Jeff (Nikki) Hobensack, Brook (Andrew) Stepleton, John (Janice) Sizemore, Lindsey (Mike) Capps, Joy (Nick) McDorman, and Leah (Phil) Carlisle; Twenty-six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and several stepchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa “Terri” Treen; and two sisters: Doris Lemin and Luella Griggs.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Brian Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ada VFW Post #9381.
