AHS volleyball falls to Wildcats

The visiting Ada High School volleyball team lost a four-setter to Vanlue in non-conference play on Thursday night, September 29.
The Lady Bulldogs won the first set 25-23, but then dropped the last three 19-25, 13-25, 14-25 dropped the Ada season record to 9-9 overall. Vanlue improved to 7-7 with the win.
Ada senior libero Courtney Sumner came up with 28 digs.
Junior setter Autumn Andreasen doled out 24 assists, made a dozen digs, made two blocks and served an ace.
Junior Daicy Robinson hammered 10 kills and made two blocks to pace
Ada. Senior Emilee Huffer knocked down five kills and came up with a pair of blocks.
Sophomore Lily Baumgartner drilled five kills.
Sophomore defensive specialist Jenna Bassitt came up with 13 digs, while junior counterpart Josie Phillips made 10 digs.
The Bulldog junior varsity won in two sets to improve their record to 12-5.
Ada plays at non-league backyard arch-rival USV (5-6) Monday, October 3.
The Bulldogs (1-5 NWC) then host league-leader Crestview (10-5, 6-0 NWC) in a match Tuesday, Oct. 4.
