AHS volleyball loss to Delphos-Jefferson in four

The Ada High School volleyball team lost a close four-setter at Delphos Jefferson in Northwest Conference action Tuesday night, September 27.
The 25-22, 11-25, 25-21, 25-19 defeat dropped the Bulldog season record to 9-8 overall and 1-5 in NWC play. DJ improved to 5-10 and 2-2 in the NWC with the minor upset win.
Ada senior libero Courtney Sumner came up with 39 digs and served a pair of aces.
Junior setter Autumn Andreasen doled out 32 assists, made 13 digs, hit five kills and served two aces.
Junior Daicy Robinson drilled nine kills. Sophomore Tessa Griffith hit a season-best 10 kills. Junior southpaw Mariah King also contributed a season-high kill total with eight.
Sophomore Lily Baumgartner hammered nine kills.
Sophomore defensive specialist Jenna Bassitt came up with a season-high 22 digs.
The Bulldog junior varsity also lost in two sets to drop their record to 11-5.
Ada plays at non-league foe Vanlue (6-7) Thursday, Sept. 29.
