AHS volleyball team takes two

DOLA⎯The Ada volleyball team swept two non-league opponents in a tri-match Saturday morning at Hardin Northern.
The decisive victories improved the Ada season record to 5-2.
The Bulldogs first defeated Arlington by a 27-25, 25-19 score.
- Senior Emilee Huffer knocked down four kills and made four blocks in the opening match.
- Sophomore Lily Baumgartner served three aces, came up with six digs and hit two kills.
- Junior setter Autumn Andreasen passed out 16 assists, drilled four kills and made five digs.
- Junior Daicy Robinson led Ada with five kills, while sophomore Tessa
- Griffith contributed three kills.
- Senior Courtney Sumner hustled up 13 digs.
- Sophomore Jenna Bassitt came up with six digs.
Ada then swept event host Hardin Northern 25-15, 25-21 in the final match.
- Robinson again led the hitters with six kills.
- Griffith compiled four kills and four aces.
- Huffer knocked down three kills and added two blocks.
- Sumner mustered 25 digs.
- Andreasen dished out 15 assists and served two aces.
- Freshman Anna Conley contributed two blocks.
HN fell to 2-7 and Arlington is 3-2 with the results.
The Bulldog reserves lost to Arlington in three sets, but defeated HN in two games to improve to 5-1.
Ada opens Northwest Conference play Wednesday, September 7 at Leipsic
(5-1). The Bulldog girls then host former league foe LCC Thursday,
September 8.
