Barbara Ann Pitts worked for RCA
Barbara Ann “Peachy” Pitts, 87, of Alger, OH and formerly of Guage, KY, was peacefully enfolded in her Savior’s arms on September 4, 2022, at Vancrest of Ada. During her life, she was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus and a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Her laugh and smile were contagious, and her prayers for her family and others were frequent and sincere.
She was born January 13, 1935, in Pike County, KY, to the late Dudley and Sebra Ann (Dyer) Allen. In February 1980, she married Adam Pitts, who died November 20, 2011. Also preceding her in death are two sons, Terry (TC) and Timothy (Buggy) Craft; three step-sons: Herschel, Jody (T-Tom), and Burley Pitts; a grandson, Randall Craft; and two brothers, Rex and Richard Allen.
Mrs. Pitts was retired from RCA in Findlay, OH, after 18 years of employment while raising her children. She was an active member of New Birth Living Word Church.
She is survived by her son Larry (Hope) Craft of Hokes Bluff, AL; daughters Linda (Toby) Prichard of Alger, OH, and Sandra (Joe) Roark of Jackson, KY; step-sons: Calvin, Jimmy (Debbie), Billy Joe (Charlotte), and Danny (Bobby) Pitts and step-daughters: Wanda Faye (Kenneth) Back, Brenda (Zach) Francis, and Sandy (Stanley) Lovely, all of Kentucky. Grandma Peachy also leaves a granddaughter, Tabitha (Barney) McGehee of Piedmont, AL; 4 great-granddaughters; numerous beloved step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, and step great-great grandchildren; and other family members and friends. She had a special place in her heart for her niece, Joyce Draper, and her cousin, Carolyn Shepherd.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Pastor Wayne P. Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger, and two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
