ADA__The Ada High School volleyball team swept visiting Arcadia in the Blanchard Valley Conference opener on Monday, September 14.
Ada improved to 10-1 overall and 1-0 in the BVC with the home 25-15, 25-21, 25-22 win.
Arcadia fell to 5-5 overall and 0-1 in the BVC after the road defeat.
“It was a good start to conference play,” said Ada first-year head coach Kylie Murphy. “Our defense really showed up and kept us in some long rallies. We were scrappy and made big plays when we needed them.

FOSTORIA__The Ada High School golf team finished second in a four-team match at the Fostoria Country Club on Monday, September 14.
Elmwood won the event with 169 strokes, 12 shots ahead of Ada at 181. Host Arcadia was two strokes behind the Bulldogs in third at 183, while host Fostoria finished a distant fourth (229).
The second-place finish improved the Bulldog season record to 42-4.
Ada’s low scorer was sophomore Arden Shook with a respectable 43, shot on a course no one on the Bulldog team was familiar with.
MEDIA RELEASE__On 09/15/2026 The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 16000-block of SR 31 south of Kenton for an injury hit-skip crash involving a bicyclist and a semi tractor trailer.
The bicyclist located on scene was identified as a Mr. Jeremy Honaker of Kenton. Mr. Honaker was traveling north bound on SR 31 on an electronic bicycle with appropriate lighting and in a high visibility vest, riding the bicycle past the fog line, between the ditch and fog line.
MEDIA RELEASE__The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1 is advancing a project to improve safety by constructing a roundabout at the intersection of State Route 81 and County Road 15 on the Allen County-Hardin County line, just west of the village of Ada.
