Dan Neeley, Sr. owned Dan’s Industrial Truck Service
Dan Neeley, Sr., age 88, of Ada, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on September 25, 1933, in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Oxie and Dovie (Howard) Neeley. On July 22, 1954, Dan married Marjorie Barker and she preceded him in death on May 21, 1999.
Dan is survived by two sons: Dan (Allis) Neeley, Jr. of Harrod, and Jerry Lee (Jennifer) Neeley of Huber Heights; three daughters: Sandy (Marv) Weaver of Lima, Diana (Robert Whitecotton) Smith of Montague, TX, and Delaree (Bruce) Basil of Harrod; sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Neeley.
He was preceded in death by a grandson; a great grandson; three sisters: Martha Williams, Maxine Butler, and Cella Music; and two brothers: J.B. Neeley, and Oxie “O.C.” Neeley.
Dan was owner and mechanic of Dan’s Industrial Truck Service.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
