Trylbia Prater owned and operated Ada Hair Care
Trylbia Castle Prater, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
She was born in Magoffin County, Kentucky in March of 1928. In December 1945, Trylbia married Henry C. Prater and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Trylbia graduated from the Beauty Academy in Lima and ran her own beauty salon in Ada, the Ada Hair Care Center, for thirty-five years. She was a member of the Ada Church of Christ. She had a longtime companion, Bill Ludwig.
Trylbia is survived by her three daughters and one son: Joyce (William) Ridge and Barbara Price of Cincinnati, Henrietta (Tom)Prater of SLC, Utah, and Robert (Marcia) Prater of Ada. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell Prater in 1964.
Grandchildren include Heather (Shawn) Everett, Brian (Anne Marie) Price, Brock (Brittany) Prater all of Cincinnati and Jasmine (Fiancé Jahson) Prater of Florida. She had four great grandchildren, Ilsa, Mina, and Annika Price, and Remy Prater.
Private services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
