Virgil Dye owned Dye’s Plumbing, Heating, and Electrical
Virgil Walker Dye, age 88, passed of Alger, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
Virgil was born on October 6, 1934, in Van Lear, Kentucky to the late John and Rusha (Blevins) Dye. On March 7, 1980, Virgil married Sonja K. Rowe and she survives in Alger.
Also surviving are his two daughters: Stacy (Dan) James of Ada, and Jennifer (Garrett) Fleming of Ada; five grandchildren: Brittany (Chad) Hayes, Caityln (Kyle) Bassitt, and Gabbie, Sophie, and Izzie B. Fleming; two great grandchildren: Harper Jean Hayes and Thomas J. Bassitt; two brothers: Paris (Sue) Dye of Jenera, and Robert (Sheila) Dye of Ada; a sister, Ann (Steve) Zuercher of Ada; and a special sister-in-law, Ruth Dye Nichols.
Virgil was preceded in death by his two brothers: James Dye and Elmer Dye; and sister, Patricia Holbrook.
Virgil retired as the owner and operator of Dye’s Plumbing, Heating, and Electrical, where he worked as a plumber, electrician, and HVAC man. He was a member of the Ada Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Rev. Karen Rarey officiating.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home in Alger.
