Fredric A. Shellabarger, age 91, of Ada, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on April 20, 1931, in West Alexandria, Ohio to the late Lowell and Jeannette (Ulrich)Shellabarger. On September 13, 1958, Fredric married Patricia A. Yoho, who preceded him in death on January 3, 2018.
Fredric is survived by his two children: Douglas A. (Elizabeth) Shellabarger of Ada and Lisa Ann (Michael) Stock of Olathe, Kansas; five grandchildren: Christopher Shellabarger, Kayla (Sean) Gade, Tiffany (Dana) Dill, Kristina (Ryan) Ziegler, and Thomas Stock; nine great grandchildren: Ryker Gade, Harlow Gade, Brynnlee Dill, Raelynn Dill, Harrisynn Dill, Kynnslee Dill, Zia Shellabarger, Mason Ziegler, and Jaxon Ziegler; five step grandchildren: Lorena (Mitch) Castle, Josue Martinez, Jonathon (Jane) Nitchie, Jordinn (Jase) Nitchie and Lane (Alivia) Nitchie; eight step great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Shellabarger of Tampa, FL; and two sisters: Marjorie Cook of Tampa, FL, and Marcia (Chuck) Nessle of Medway.
Fredric retired from DELCO Moraine – General Motors, where he worked as a millwright. He was a member of the Ada First United Methodist Church, and a member of the Clarington Lodge # 597 F&AM. Fredric was a U.S. Army veteran.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Rev. Brandi Rigsby officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada. The funeral service will be livestreamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook page beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
