DUBUQUE, Iowa — A late goal from junior Kylie Cabana (Dexter, Mich.) gave the Ohio Northern women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Rose-Hulman (Ind.) in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday at Rock Bowl Stadium on the campus of Loras (Iowa).

The Polar Bears improve to 14-1-5 overall and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament to play Loras on Sunday at 4 p.m. Saturday's victory extended their current unbeaten streak to 14 games, which is tied for the third-longest such streak in program history. Northern also increased its shutout streak to nine straight games.

The Fightin' Engineers' season comes to an end with a record of 10-3-6.

Cabana's goal, her sixth of the season, was unassisted and came in the 83rd minute of Saturday's game.

In yet another strong showing by the ONU defense, senior goalkeeper Becky Moss (Lebanon/Mount Notre Dame) made one save in the game and now holds the school record for shutouts in a season with 15. Her 15 career shutouts rank ninth all-time at ONU.

ONU out-shot Rose-Hulman by a 15-4 margin in the game and finished with a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
