McGuffey receives $44K Nature Works funding for playground expansion
A grant for $44,621 has been awarded to McGuffey Park for park expansion and installing playground equipment, new surface and border, chain link fencing and bench.
The grant is one of 68 recently announced by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). $1.7 million in grants will support dozens of new outdoor recreation projects across the state. Projects include the development of playgrounds, natural playscapes, trails, restrooms, dog parks, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis and pickleball courts, splash pads, and picnic shelters.
Other projects in the Icon readership area: Beaverdam will receive a $21,853 grant from Nature Works Round 28 Awards for the installation of a secure fence around a playground area in the village park.
