For the time period of April 15-30, Extension rainfall reporters recorded an average of 1.06 inches of rain in Hardin County.
Liberty Township experienced 1.04 inches of rainfall. Check the attachment at the bottom of this story for all Hardin townships.
Last year, the average rainfall for the same time period was 2.21 inches. Rainfall for the April 15-30 time period is 1.2 inches less than the ten year average rainfall during the same dates.
Dudley Township received 1.34 inches for the April 15-30 time period, the most of any of the township sites.

Read a book and get a ticket. That's the admission price to last week's Ada Schools' annual reading carnival open to youth from Kindergarten to fifth grade. The Ada Academic Boosters put on the carnival on May 8.
Tickets were spent on sponge throw, soccer kick, guessing jar, corn hole and many other games. The goal: to encourage reading.
The Lima Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the Fourth of July with a “Patriotic Pops” concert on the campus of Ohio Northern University. The event is free and open to the public.
The concert will take place on the sculpture mall east of McIntosh Center between Presser and Weber Halls. This will be a fun filled family event exploding with patriotic music and a tribute to our armed services. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Registrations are being accepted for the next Paint Inn at The Inn at ONU, according to Marilyn Reed, instructor.
"We are now scheduling a summer series of ONU Paint Inn. These being at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 4," she said. The June project will be painting sunset on the lake.
• At 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, the painting project will be bicycle with flower basket.
