Thomas W. Truman owned Hickory Farms store in Lima
Thomas W. “Tom” Truman, age 81, of Lima, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 7:07 p.m.
He was born on November 26, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Russell and Virginia (Miller) Truman. On September 21, 1959, Thomas married Delores Wright and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2021.
Tom is survived by his two daughters: Rhonda (James) Park of Ada and Kim (Brent) Young of Huntsville; four grandchildren: Jeremy Park, Garrett (Ben Douglas) Young, Justin Young and Kira (Jeramy) Furrow; three great grandchildren: Asher Furrow, Elliot Park and Cierra (Keane Dunn) Furrow; a great-great grandchild, Henley Dunn; and two brothers: Jon (Penny) Truman of Pemberville, and Rusty Truman of Springfield.
Tom and Delores owned the Hickory Farms store at the Lima Mall from 1971-1986. Tom retired from the Bluffton University Bookstore, where he was the manager.
It was his wish to be cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
