Tom W. Parker worked for Ford Motor Company
Tom W. Parker, Sr., age 93, of Alger, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Vancrest of Ada.
He was born on August 29, 1929, in Wayland, Kentucky to the late Dave and Grace (Hicks) Parker. On September 23, 1949, Tom married Loraine Perkins, she preceded him in death on July 10, 2009.
Tom retired in 1988 after working for thirty-two years for Ford Motor Company of Lima. He was a member of the UAW Local #1219 of Lima. Tom was a former member of the McGuffey Conservation Club.
He is also survived by two sons: Jim (Vickey) Parker of Alger and Tom (Nancy) Parker Jr. of Kenton; three daughters: Lucille Lemaster of Ada, Debbie Hollon of Alger and Patricia (Buck) Rogers of Myrtle Beach, SC; eleven grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie M. Parker; a granddaughter; and a sister, Geneva Smith.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Rev. Lewis Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home in Alger.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
