The Ohio Northern women's basketball team sits just outside the top 25 of the Week 3 D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

The Polar Bears (7-1 overall, 3-0 OAC) received 38 points and are listed first among teams in the "others receiving votes" category, putting them at No. 26 in the poll.

Northern received 26 points in last week's poll and was listed second among teams in the "others receiving votes" category.

Hope (Mich.) is the top-ranked team in the poll, receiving 615 points and 20 of 25 first-place votes.

The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country and is published weekly.

Northern also received 10 points in this week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll. Northern is the fourth team listed in the "others receiving votes" category, putting it at No. 29 in the poll.

The Polar Bears return to action on Saturday when they host Capital at 4:00 p.m.
