NORTH ROBINSON--The Ada High School girls swim team finished a strong fourth at the Eagle Invitational sprint meet hosted by Colonel Crawford east of Bucyrus Saturday, January 14.

Ada sophomore Lily Baumgartner won two events and set a meet record in capturing the 50 freestyle race. She also came within .60 of breaking the meet record while winning the 100 individual medley.

Bulldog senior Carlie Oldfield won the 50 backstroke and took second in the 25 freestyle.

Senior Kaitlyn Bowden finished third in the 50 back, and also came in third in the 50 butterfly.

Ada senior Kayla Wince touched fourth in the 50 breaststroke.

Baumgartner, Oldfield, Bowden and Wince teamed up to finish second in two relay races.

“It was a fun meet, and challenged everyone on a sprint level,” said Ada head coach Ashley Robey. “We had a great number of swimmers place within the top 10 and I’m very impressed.”

Meet host Colonel Crawford won both the girls and boys team titles. The Bulldog boys took seventh out of 11 teams.

Ada junior Jack Baumgartner took fourth in the 100 backstroke to post the top Bulldog boys finish.
