Russell “Pete” Pedersen worked for Pepsi Beverage Co.
Russell T. “Pete” Pedersen, Jr., age 78, of Lima formerly of Ada, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on February 22, 1944, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late Russell and Rae Lydia (Hayes) Pedersen, Sr. On June 28, 1963, Pete married Linda Allen formerly of Alger and she survives in Lima.
Pete is also survived by his son, Bruce Pedersen of Lima; five grandchildren: Jeremy Pedersen, Brandon Pedersen, Lexi Pedersen, Lydia Anderson, and Sam Anderson; four great grandchildren: Kale, Tate, Miles, and Jackson Pedersen; a brother, Terry (Shirley) Pedersen of San Antonio, TX; and a sister, Vicki Pedersen of Lima.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly M. “Kim” Anderson.
Pete worked for the Pepsi Beverage Company, Lima for thirty-two years. He then worked as a salesman at JCPenney, Lima. Pete was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, class of 1962. He was a member of the Lima and Ada Lions Clubs. He was an avid bowler, golfer, enjoyed playing Eucher, and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a collector of stamps, golf balls and die cast models. Pete loved his grandchildren and especially enjoyed watching them in their sports activities.
A celebration of life will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
