OTTAWA–The Ada High School swim team competed well in a four-team meet at the Putnam County YMCA Thursday evening, February 2.
It was the final regular season swim meet for Ada, and the Bulldog boy and girl squads each won two of their three dual meets. Bluffton went 3-0 on the night.
The Ada girls lost a close meet with Bluffton, 43-36. They drowned Fostoria 48-14 and blanked McComb 49-0.
The Bulldog boys defeated Fostoria 31-15 and dunked McComb 38-8, but lost to Bluffton 50-20.
Ada sophomore Lily Baumgartner won the 100 butterfly (60.26.) and touched first in the 100 backstroke (64.88).

“It was a very fast meet and everyone did their best and worked hard and some even dropped more time,” said first-year Bulldog head coach Ashley Robey.
“It has been a great season and I am proud of each one of them. They have all grown this season and I'm excited to see how they do at sectionals,” she added.
Baumgartner, Oldfield, Kaitlyn Bowden and Wince won the 200 medley relay (2:01.78). The same quartet took first in the 200 free relay (1:54.42).
