Rodney Scott was a U.S. Army veteran
Rodney Albert Scott, age 71, of Alger, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Kenton, Ohio on January 7, 1952, to Alfred and Lydia (Risner) Scott. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Rushylvania. Rodney married Manuela “Nellie” Mirelez, she preceded him in death on October 21, 2022.
Rodney is also survived by his two sons: Jason Scott of Alger, and Rodney Scott II of Huntsville; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Mary) Scott of Zanesfield; and a sister, Terri (Rod) Sommers of Rushylvania.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Mitch, Michael, and Ernie Scott; and a sister, Sherri Caudill.
Rodney worked as a carpenter. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
It was his wish to be cremated. A family inurnment will take place at a later date.
