Bulldog baseball blanks Lima Senior
By Cort Reynolds
LIMA – The visiting Ada High School varsity baseball team shut out Lima Senior 2-0 in a non-league contest Wednesday evening, March 29.
Ada improved to 1-0 with their first win of the season.
Bulldog senior Roman Snyder pitched a complete-game shutout.
Ada’s Zach Neiswander singled home Snyder and Spencer Wall in the fourth inning to drive in the only runs of the game.
“I am very proud of the kids and how they performed today,” said new Ada head coach Toby Smith. “When we play solid defense and don’t lose the game, we are a formidable team.
“Hopefully we can take this win and apply it to future games,” he added.
Weather permitting, Ada plays host to non-league foe Cory-Rawson (0-0) Thursday, March 30 in the home opener.
The Bulldogs visit Waynesfield-Goshen (2-0) Friday. The improved Tigers beat Upper Scioto Valley 10-2 and 13-12 earlier this week.
Ada then visits rival USV (0-2) Saturday for a doubleheader at 11 a.m.
