Funeral arrangements for Ruth E. Hutchinson
Ruth Evelyn Hutchinson, age 84, of Alger, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 1:13 p.m. at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 5, 1938 in Wyandot County, Ohio to the late Frank and Emma J. (Whitaker) Spradlin. On June 14, Ruth married Richard Hutchinson and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1993.
Ruth is survived by her seven children: Randa (Mike) Hensley of Lima, Diane Bailey of Alger, Donald Hutchinson (Cindy) of Lima, Ricky Hutchinson (Audrey) of LaFayette, Karan Hutchinson of Alger, Emma Hutchinson (Tori) of Alger, and Misty Hutchinson of Lima; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; five siblings: Robert Spradlin of McGuffey, Carol Lowery of Belle Center, Richard (Mary) Spradlin of McGuffey, Dorothy (Kelly) Puckett of Kenton and Joe (Linda) Spradlin of Reno, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Flowers; infant grandson, Walter “Little Sam” Eley, Jr.; two brothers, Paul Spradlin and Ralph Spradlin; a sister, Helen Jane Beggs; and an infant sister, Gloria Fay Spradlin.
Ruth attended the McGuffey Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo. Ruth loved her children and family and spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them in all their activities.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Donald Webb officiating. Burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23 at the funeral home in Ada.
