March 21 council meeting agenda includes plans for chamber events

On the evening of Tuesday, March 21, the village will hold a 6:00 p.m. public hearing prior to the regular council meeting at 6:30 p.m. in Village Council Chambers, 115 W. Buckeye. The hearing is for the purpose of considering a rezoning request by Wilson’s Sporting Goods for three parcels from R2 to I2.

In the regular meeting, in addition to approving bills and conducting the second reading of several ordinances, the council will hear from Lindsay Hollar, Director of the Ada Chamber of Commerce, on the following topics: 

• Obtaining Parking Permits along Main Street for the Football Festival

• Approval for the Mayor and Chief Cooper to sign the Chamber’s F-2 Liquor permit for beer sales at the Football Festival

• Closure of the alley by the Center on Central and Middlefield Bank during the Football Festival.

• Closure of Route 235 for the Harvest and Herb Festival

• General chamber updates

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to address council, a segment for Mayor’s Comments and committee reports on Safety by Jeff Oestreich,  Personnel by Bob Simmons, Streets by Jason Campbell, Finance by Linda Mason,  Buildings and Grounds by Sheila Coressel, Utilities by Sean Beck. 

Administration reports on the agenda are Fiscal Officer’s Report by Patty Navin, Police Chief’s Report by Alec Cooper; Zoning Inspector’s Report by Michael Harnishfeger; Village Administrator’s Report by Jamie Hall; and  Legal Counsel’s Report by Jane Napier.

A committee meeting will follow to discuss the 2023 Village Paving Program Schedule.
