Bulldog baseball blanked by McComb

McCOMB – The Ada High School varsity baseball team lost a non-league battle to McComb 8-0 Tuesday evening, April 4.
Ada dropped to 2-1 with the defeat, while the Panthers improved to 2-2 after the win.
The Panthers broke open a scoreless game with two runs in the home third. The hosts doubled their lead to 4-0 in the fourth, and added a run in the fifth.
McComb then put the game out of reach with a three-run sixth inning.
Ada got out-hit, 10-2. The Panthers stranded 10 runners compared to four by the Bulldogs. The hosts stole nine bases and stroked a pair of doubles.
Ada sophomore leadoff hitter Levi Green collected both Bulldog hits and stole a base.
Assistant coach Sean Anderson filled in for ill Bulldog head coach Toby Smith.

The Bulldogs host Perry (1-3) in a non-conference game on Wednesday. The Bulldogs then host powerhouse Lincolnview (4-0) Thursday in the NWC opener.
