The Ada High School football team, playing at home at War Memorial Park Stadium, made strides and competed well but lost 38-20 to Arlington in a non-league football contest on a pleasant Friday night, August 26.
"We are going in the right direction," said Bulldog second-year head coach Toby Smith. "The issue is we have to stop stubbing our toes on things we can control.
"But we scored 20 points against a good team who is going to win seven games," he offered.
"We had moments where we found our way. Yet until we recognize we are beating our selves, we will not beat anyone," he added.
St. Mark Lutheran will serve its monthly free Community Meal on Wednesday, August 31, from 5:00-6:30 p.m.--or until they run out--at the church located at the corner of Johnson and Lincoln.
The meal is free and opened to the public. You may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside service.
This month’s dinner includes Sloppy Joe Sandwich, Baked Beans, Carrots and Celery, Chips, Cookie, and Fruit.
Organizers note, "Don’t be late. Last month we did not run out, but we did serve 114 meals. Hope to see you there."

Ultrasound is an imaging modality that uses sound waves transmitted into the body to create a picture of internal structures. Ultrasound can be used to image a baby developing inside the womb and has become a routine part of prenatal care. Most patients will get at least two or three diagnostic ultrasounds throughout their pregnancy.
