Bulldog baseball seeded 8th in sectional, to host Hornets

The Ada High School baseball team was seeded eighth in the 11-team Div. IV sectional/Findlay district drawing Sunday, May 7.
Ada (6-13) will host 10th seed Cory-Rawson (2-16) Tuesday, May 16 in the sectional semifinals at 5 p.m.
The Ada/C-R winner will visit two seed McComb (11-7) Thursday, May 18 at 5 p.m. in the sectional finals.
The winner advances to the district semifinals at Findlay May 24. The district finals are May 26.
The Bulldogs beat the visiting Hornets 4-1 on March 30 in the Ada home opener.
Hardin Northern (12-6) was seeded third and was one of the top four teams to receive a first-round bye.
The Polar Bears will host the North Baltimore (5-9)/Pandora-Gilboa (5-15) winner May 18 in the sectional finals.
The Ada/McComb/C-R survivor will take on the winner of the HN quarter of the bracket in the district semis. The Bulldogs lost the season opener March 27 at county rival HN 6-1.
McComb also defeated visiting Ada 8-0 behind a two-hitter on April 4.
Upper Scioto Valley (3-12) was seeded ninth and will host 11th-seeded Vanlue (0-12) Monday, May 16.
The USV/Wildcat victor will visit top seed Columbus Grove (16-6) May 18 in the sectional final.
Arlington (8-10) was seeded fourth.
