Bulldog Bassitt makes all-district 1st team in softball

Leadoff batter Bassitt led Ada in almost every offensive category this past season. She batted .514 with an on-base pct. of .618, a .757 slugging pct. and 28 stolen bases in 32 attempts.
Bassitt also walked 16 times and hit two home runs. She stroked four triples and six doubles among her 38 hits. She scored 37 runs and collected 24 runs batted in.
Bassitt posted a 14-5 record pitching and struck out 184 batters as well.
Her battery mate, spunky Bulldog sophomore catcher Natilyn McClain, earned honorable mention all-district notice.
McClain batted .343 with 19 RBI and five doubles, two triples and a dozen walks. She swiped 12 bases.
McClain also won two games as a pitcher.
The sophomore-laden Bulldog girls ended up 16-7 this spring, one victory shy of the program record for wins in a single season.
Ada posted their best league finish in program history at 7-1, good for second place behind 8-0 NWC champion Crestview.
