Local poet publishes second book
Hardin County native Jessica Weyer-Bentley has published her second book of poetry, Down Below Where the Canary Sings. Issued on May 2, 2023, the colletion was published by Sage Owl Publishing in Massachusetts.
Weyer-Bentley is an author, poet and photographer. Her first collection of poetry, Crimson Sunshine, was published in May 2020 by AlyBlue Media.
She has been published in several anthologies and magazines, both online and in print including Of Rust and Glass, Pine Mountain Sand and Gravel, Alien Buddha, Appalachian Women Speak, Lothlorien Poetry Journal, Local Gem Press, Pegasus (Kentucky Poetry Society) Common Threads ( Ohio Poetry Association), Global Poemic, and Fevers of the Mind.
Weyer-Bentley is the Student Contest Chair for the Ohio Poetry Association and currently works for Ohio Northern University.
