Melovete Pummell worked for Ford Motor Company
Melovete Pummell, age 94, of Alger, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on December 12, 1928, in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Kelly and June (Push) Minix, Sr. Her father, Kelly and her mother, June Miller preceded her in death. Melovete married Robert Pummell, he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two daughters: Linda (Dan) Weber and Vicki Pummell; five grandchildren: Scott Metcalf, Shay Williams, Devin Pummell, Alaine Pummell, and Nick Pummell; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Dean Pummell; three sisters: Beatrice Rowe, Barbara Miller, and Donna Guyton; and five brothers: Billy Joe Minix, Kelly Minix, Jr., Bert Minix, Homer Minix, and James Minix.
Melovete retired from Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant. She was a member of the Auglaize Bible Church, Harrod.
Family services will be held at a later date.
