Marian G. Kissling worked for Bath Schools
Marian G. Kissling, 93, passed away July 12, 2023 at Lima Memorial Health System. Marian was born November 21, 1929 in Dola to the late Andrew and Bernice (Harris) Dirmeyer. On February 12, 1950 she married Charles Kissling who preceded her in death on December 20, 2015.
Marian graduated from Dola High School. She retired from Bath Schools where she worked in the food service. Marian was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, Lima where she was the church organist for many years. She had been a 4-H Advisor for many years.
Survivors include five children, Charles L.(Christy) Kissling of Cape Coral, Florida, Susan (Steve) White of Lima, Douglas (Marvelee) Kissling of Alto, New Mexico, Laura (Dan) Raushel of Conway, Arkansas and Julia (Brad) Crawford of Lima; thirteen grandchildren, Matt (Alicia), Kevin (Carli), Jodi (Paul), Jamie (Jim), Cason (Stacy), Richard (Ashley), Zachary (Michelle), Alexis (Devin), Madison, Chelsea (Jesse), Loren (Dan), Calen (Kaley), and Madelyn; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Vernon (Doris) Dirmeyer and Roger (Elaine) Dirmeyer both of Dola.
Marian was also preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Dirmeyer, Jr. and Dallas Dirmeyer.
Marian's services will begin at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2023 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton with Pastor James Washington officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View United Church of the Brethren or Putnam County Hospice.
