Stephen L. Hattery worked for Shawnee Manor
Stephen L. Hattery, age 78, of Lima, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 5:17 PM at OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born on May 20, 1945, in Hardin County, Ohio to the late Leo and Virginia (Armstrong) Hattery. On February 18, 1969 Stephen married Shirley A. Legge and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2012.
Stephen is survived a son: Stephen (Dawn) Hattery, II of Lima; six grandchildren: Christinna Hattery, Stephen Hattery, III, Brycen Hattery, Kaycie Gilkey, Makayla Hiser, and Tyler Burnett; ten great grandchildren; five brothers: Larry (Linda) Hattery, Jerry Hattery, Tim Hattery, Kevin (Beverly) Hattery, and Ricky Hattery; one sister: Linda Engles; and his beloved dog, Tiny.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Kenny, Tom, Skip, and Terry Hattery; and one sister: Dorlene Dearth.
Stephen worked maintenance for Shawnee Manor and previously worked for the railroad.
A private family graveside service will be held in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
