August 9 is deadline for local candidates to file
The Hardin County Board of Elections has posted on its website HERE that petition packets are available in its office for candidates for Township Fiscal Officer, Township Trustee, Village Offices and School Board.
The deadline to file petitions with the board of elections is 4:00 p.m. on August 9, 2023.
Local officials to be elected in the November 7, 2023 election, all serving 4 year terms, are:
- Ada mayor
- Two Ada council seats
- Three Ada Exempted Village School District board seats
- Liberty Township fiscal officer
- One Liberty Township trustee
Amy Purcell of the Hardin County Board of Elections reported to the Icon that four of six school board candidates had been certified as of August 1.
