Bulldog boys soccer nipped by Mustangs

The Ada High School boys soccer team kicked off Northwest Conference play at backyard rival Allen East with a 2-1 loss Monday evening, August 28, in the back half of a girls/boys doubleheader at Goodwin Field.
Ada fell to 2-2-1 overall and 0-1 in the NWC with the tough defeat.
AE improved to 3-1 and 1-0 in the NWC after the victory.
Mustang senior Isen Schaefer netted a clever goal in just the second minute when he dribbled past the Ada keeper to score.
The Mustangs inched ahead 2-0 on a penalty kick.
Clayton McClain scored the lone Ada goal off a hooking corner kick from Logan Jolliff to cut the deficit in half, but the Bulldogs were unable to tie it.
Freshman Jacob Rush made three saves in goal for Ada.
The Bulldogs visit Miller City Wednesday evening, August 30 at 5 p.m.
The Mustangs visit Upper Sandusky Thursday, August 31.
