Highway construction update: Week of Aug. 28
The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Hardin County during the week of August 28. All outlined work is weather permitting.
- State Route 67 in the city of Kenton, between Wayne St. and Morningside Dr., will be restricted to one lane for resurfacing. Visit the project webpage: PID 113253
- State Route 235/State Route 309 between County Road 35 and County Road 45 will close on Tuesday, Sept. 5, for four days for a culvert replacement. TRAFFIC IMPACT - Detour: SR 309 to I-75 to SR 81 to SR 235, back to SR 309.
- State Route 235 between County Road 130 and Township Road MD, approximately three miles south of the village of Alger, will close on Monday, Aug. 28, for approximately five days for a culvert replacement. TRAFFIC IMPACT Detour: SR 309 to SR 67, back to SR 235 (see detour).
- State Route 701 State Route 701 between County Road 95 and Township Road 105 may have lane restrictions for culvert repairs. County Road 75 between State Route 81 and Township Road 30 closed on June 19 for approximately 150 days to replace the bridge over Hogg Creek. TRAFFIC IMPACT Local detour: SR 81 to CR 65 to TR 30, back to CR 75.
