Human trafficking awareness event, August 22
Not all victims of human trafficking are abducted and taken from their family or community. Heartbeat of Hardin County and Safe Haven are holding a free human trafficking awareness event from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22 at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Conference room, 1025 S. Main St., Kenton.
Julie Zaring, Executive Director of Heartbeat and Deb Oestreich, Executive Director of Safe Haven are trained advocates who will help parents learn the warning signs of human trafficking, in order to prevent their children from becoming victims.
All are welcome from youth to adults; parental discretion is advised. For more information please call 419-679-4147.
