Glenn E. Hinds owned several Ada businesses
Glenn E. Hinds, age 92, of Ada, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 2:08 AM at the Good Samaritan Society of Arlington.
He was born on July 25, 1931, in Lima, Ohio to the late Clifford and Mabel (Bivens) Hinds. On July 29, 1951, Glenn married Rosabelle “Rosie” Warrington and she preceded him in death on October 4, 2008.
Glenn is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Becky and Mick Harpel of Findlay; three grandchildren: Todd (Larissa) Harpel of Kenton, Eric Harpel of Bellefontaine and Rachel Williams of Tiffin; and five great grandchildren: Laney, Ali, Bradley, Logan and Jackson; and sister, Carolyn “Bunny” Lee Bullens of Harriman, TN. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Dean Hinds on December 18, 2020; and his sister, Marjorie Orr.
Glenn worked at The Ada Dairy for 10 years, Pennington Bread for 20 years, and retired at Certified Oil after 14 years. Glenn and his wife, Rosie were former owners of Hinds Short Stop, Hinds Dairy Bar, and G& R Laundry, all in Ada.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday, September 18th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
