Janice Louise Dodge worked for Century 21 Realty
Janice Louise Dodge, age 93, of Ada, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 10:34 p.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
Janice was born on February 19, 1930 to Oscar and Louise (Bishop) Busick of Columbus Grove, who preceded her in death. On August 21, 1949, Janice married William R. “Bill” Dodge, who preceded her in death on April 8, 2019. Also preceding her in death are two sons: infant son, Ricky Lee Dodge in April 1950 and Brian David Dodge in October 1996; and a brother, Lester Busick.
Janice was a stay-at-home mom until all of her children left the nest. In 1991 she obtained her real estate license and worked for Century 21 in Ada. In 1993 she was presented an award for sales over $1,000,000 for the month.
Janice was a member of The Church of Christ in Ada. She was an excellent seamstress and made many of her kid’s clothes. She also was an exceptional cook and one of her yearly traditions was to bake a cinnamon roll and deliver to the area neighbors. She loved to garden and canned much of her own home-grown vegetables.
She is survived by her three sons: Thomas (Joyce) Dodge of Ada, Robert (Ruth) Dodge of Findlay and William (Linda) Dodge of Columbus; three daughters: Cynthia Dodge of Ada, Connie (David) LaRue of Ada and Susan Annette (Alan) Ringle of Sand Springs, OK; nine grandchildren: Scott (Teia) Dodge, Michael (Jennifer) Dodge, Natalie Dodge, Kreg (Kenzi) Dodge, Adam (CJ) Dodge, Nathan (Courtney) Dodge, Morgan Dodge, Mark (Brittany) Ringle and Aaron (Kaylee) Ringle; Twenty-Two great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Rita (Bernard) Berg of Leipsic.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Thomas Dearth. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or American Heart Association and/or Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
