Stella Lee Helton worked for Essex Wire
Stella Lee Helton, age 93, of Alger, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on September 6, 1929, in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Elisha and Fannie (Bailey) Mullins. On January 26, 1957, Stella married George A. Helton and he preceded her in death on September 16, 1999.
Stella is survived by her three children: Doug (Crystal) Helton of Alger, Peggy (Timothy) Howard of Alger, and Dianna Yoakam of Westminster; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Susie (Jim) Stewart of Mt. Victory.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Cleade Mullins, Jimmy Mullins, Sam Mullins, Willie Mullins and Dennis Mullins; and five sisters: Nancy England, Sadie Conley, Ella Drake, Aileen Beckman and Rosie Mullins.
Stella retired from Essex Wire, Kenton.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Pastor Mark Lovely and Delbert Cogar officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, September 5 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
