Ada’s Jolliff 1st team All-NWC, 1st team All-NCOSA

Bulldog Williams 1st team All-NWC; 6 Bulldog boys honored

Six Ada High School boys soccer players received All-Northwest Conference honors in voting conducted recently by the league coaches.

High-scoring Bulldog junior Logan Jolliff was named first team all-league. The speedy forward was the second-leading vote-getter on the All-NWC squad. Jolliff led Ada in goals scored.

He made the All-NWC second team last fall, and was honorable mention all-league in 2021.

Jolliff also repeated as a first team All-North Central Ohio Soccer Association selection.

Crafty junior midfielder Nathan Williams also was voted first team All-NWC. He was one of the team’s top ball distributors, scorers and passers.

Williams made second team All-NCOSA. He was HM All-NWC last season.

Senior forward/midfielder Carson Gossard was one of the top scorers on the team and was named second team All-NWC, along with classmate and tough defender Clayton McClain.

Bulldog senior Drew Long and freshman goalkeeper Jacob Rush were named honorable mention all-league. 

Gossard, McClain and Rush earned honorable mention All-NCOSA notice.

Ada is 4-7-6 overall, and the Bulldogs went 0-3-1 in the NWC. They finished fifth in the five-team league standings.

Bluffton won its ninth straight NWC title at 5-0. Lincolnview finished second at 2-1-1, followed by Allen East and Spencerville in a tie for third at 1-2-1.

Mustang seniors Isen Schaefer and Emilio Rettig were voted first team all-league.

AE juniors Garrett Jenkins and Logan Helser were named second team All-NWC.

Mustang senior Zane Newland received honorable mention notice.

Bluffton senior Theo Andreas was voted NWC Player of the Year. 

Lincolnview mentor Anson Moody was voted NWC Coach of the Year by his peers.

Ada went 0-1-4 in the six-team North Central Ohio Soccer Association. 

Liberty-Benton won the title at 4-0-1, followed by Van Buren (4-1), Cory-Rawson (1-2-2), Riverdale (1-3-1) and the Bulldogs. Ada handed the champion Eagles a road tie for their only non-win in league play.

L-B junior midfielder Garrett Nealis was named NCOSA Player of the Year.

Aaron Troyer was voted NCOSA Coach of the Year.
