Joan M. Lenhart worked for Liberty National Bank and Sodexo
Joan M. Lenhart, age 87, of Ada, went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2023 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 8, 1935 in Newburgh, New York to Everett and Mildred (Brewster) Brundage who preceded her in death. On August 30, 1957 Joan married Donald F. Lenhart and he preceded her in death on February 15, 1999.
Joan formerly worked as a teller for Liberty National Bank. She retired from Sodexo at Ohio Northern University, where she worked in food service. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church Lima, Ohio.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Beverly) Lenhart of Ada, three grandchildren: Emily (Aaron) Courtney of Lima, Angela (Ryan) Simon of Ada and Joshua (Abby) Lenhart of Marysville. Six great grandchildren, Cole (Claudia) Simon, Megan Simon, Dusty and Kennedy Lenhart, and Arya and Kason Courtney. Two great great-grandchildren, Kyler Simon and Juneau Lenhart and a brother Stan (Lois) Brundage of Springfield Ohio. Special nieces and nephew Stephanie Fraizer, and Don and Beth Lawrence. Faithful friends Jim and Nancy Hall, Kay Mahaffey, and Tammy Point. Loyal neighbors Crystal and Barbie.
Joan was preceded in death by four sisters, Gloria Hedden, Marion Sonner, Caroline Caston of New York, Anna Mae Lawrence of Ada and a brother Everett Brundage of Vermont and infant brother, Bobby Brundage.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor William C. Turner and Jim Hall officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hardin County Council On Aging.
