The people of Ada have come through again.
On Nov. 20, the Ada-Liberty Volunteer Fire Department conducted a "stuff-the-boot" collection at the intersection of Main and Lincoln. In a matter of two and a half hours, over $2,800 was raised to help bring Christmas joy to some families in the
area.
The fire department has always appreciated the tremendous support of the Ada communty, and wanted to give back. It is with your support that we are able to do this.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Philip Compton, chaplain Ada-Liberty Fire Department

A Hardin County covid defense team formed in November, according to Hardin County Health Commissioner Cindy Keller.
Representing Ada on the team are:
• David Retterer, Ada mayor
• Dr. Daniel DiBiasio, ONU president; and
• Dr. Michelle Musser, associate professor of pharmacy practice at ONU.
In October Gov. DeWine called on community leaders in each county to form a covid defense team.
Each team is responsible for assessing covid-19 spread in their communities, taking inventory of the assets in the community, and focusing on what steps are necessary to slow the spread of the coronavirus among their citizens.
FROM BLUFFTON ICON - In order to increase bed capacity system-wide, as well as maximize staffing availability in the pandemic response, Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) will combine in-patient Bluffton Hospital and Blanchard Valley Hospital obstetrics on the main Findlay campus, effective Mnday, Dec. 14.
The Bluffton Hospital second floor, which houses the obstetrics unit, has an eight-bed capacity that is currently under utilized. With beds and staffing at a premium, as the COVID-19 census and acuity increases, BVHS will re-deploy beds and staffing to best meet the needs of the patients and community.
