RAWSON - The Ada boys soccer team defeated Cory-Rawson 4-2 Thursday evening in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match.
The victory lifted the Bulldog boys record to 6-3 and 2-2 in NCOSA play. C-R fell to 5-5-1 and 1-3 in NCOSA action with the defeat.
For the second match in a row, Ada senior forward Jacob Poling scored all four Bulldog goals to spearhead a win. Classmate Ian Dellifield assisted on one of his scores.
Hornet Leo Miracle netted one goal and assisted on Zac Stoodt's goal.
Clayton Skulina made five saves in goal for C-R, while Ada keeper Grant Preston saved seven of the nine shots Cory put on goal.

ADA - High-scoring Ada senior forward Jacob Poling is tied for seventh in the state of Ohio in all divisions with 20 goals in just nine matches so far this season.
His 20 goals also leads all of northwest Ohio as well.
Poling authored consecutive four-goal games for Ada in two wins last week.
Poling scored every Bulldog goal in victories over Lincolnview (4-0) on Tuesday, and at Cory-Rawson (4-2) Thursday.
Ada is 6-3 and has won six of its last seven matches. The Bulldogs lead the NWC at 3-0 and face undefeated defending champion Bluffton September 28 in a showdown for first place.

VAN WERT - The Ada cross country teams competed at the 16-team Van Wert Health Hospital Invitational Saturday.
"It was a great morning for a cool fall run," said Bulldog head coach Josh Klein.
Junior Riley Ferguson was the top Ada runner on the day. He finished 82nd out of 113 runners in a time of 21:03.9.
Sophomore Robby Waters ran second for the Bulldogs. He crossed the finish line 97th in 22:49.4. Classmate Connor Daugherty was 102nd with a time of 24:29.7.
Senior Cole Anspaugh came in 108th with a time of 25:28.2.
Junior Hayden Schmidt of Anna won the individual race with a time of 16:17.7.

ADA - The host Ada volleyball team lost a tough four-setter to big-hitting Carey in a non-league match Saturday.
The 29-27, 23-25, 25-15, 25-9 defeat dropped the Lady Bulldog overall record to 7-7. Carey improved to 8-6 with the win.
"I thought we worked well together as a team," said Ada third-year head coach Kyleigh Tabor, whose team had to adjust its attack with versatile setter Kirsten Poling sidelined by illness.
The Ada school October lunch menu is now on the Icon.
It begins with peanut butter and jelly sandwich with cheese sticks for Kindergarten through fifth grade and mini-turkey subs with yogurt for sixth grade through seniors.
The month ends with a variety of pizza and assorted veggies.
