Bulldog girls basketball hit hard by Lancers in NWC opener

MIDDLE POINT__The Ada High School girls basketball team fell behind early and lost 65-30 at Lincolnview in the Northwest Conference lidlifter Thursday, December 7.
Ada fell to 3-1 overall and 0-1 in the NWC after the defeat that snapped a three-game win streak.
The Lancer girls improved to 2-1 and 1-0 in the NWC with the victory.
The Lancers led 14-5 after the first period. Sophomore point guard Keira Breese then scored eight of her game-high 18 points in the second stanza as the hosts increased their lead to 31-17 at intermission.
Lincolnview drained five triples to spearhead a 19-8 third quarter and build a 50-25 cushion. The Lancers outscored Ada 15-5 in the final stanza and 34-13 in the second half to win going away.
Junior Ashlyn Price and freshman Kassidy Hammons netted 10 points apiece. Junior Emerson Walker added eight markers, while sophomore Ella Elling netted five.
Breese splashed two trifectas in the third period onslaught, while Hammons added a trey and five points.
Six Lancers scored in the fourth quarter.
Senior playmaker Olivia Burkhart topped the Bulldog girls with nine points. Senior Autumn Andreasen netted seven points, while freshman guard Kenley Poling tallied six. Junior guard Lexi Poling added five markers.
The Bulldogs connected on 11 two-point goals and two three-point attempts. Ada converted two of 10 free throws (20 percent).
The Lancer girls hit on 19 two-point field goals and canned seven shots beyond the arc. Lincolnview made good on six of eight charity stripers (75 percent).
