NORTH ROBINSON__The Ada High School swim teams competed well at the North Central Ohio Swim League championship meet hosted by Colonel Crawford at the William Ferrell Natatorium on January 27.
Bulldog junior ace Lily Baumgartner came back from a shoulder injury to win two races in meet-record times.
“Everyone swam so well,” said AHS head coach Ashley Robey.
“Lily was able to swim the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke, and set meet records in both, winning both races and first team all-league.
“Everyone was able to walk away from the meet scoring points and getting on the podium. I am super proud of their hard work,” she noted.
The Ada girls ended up fourth out of seven teams with 118 points. Colonel Crawford won the girls league title with 353 points, followed by Upper Sandusky in second (169). Bluffton was third at 233 points.
The Bulldog boys came in fifth of eight squads with 106 points. Upper Sandusky edged Colonel Crawford by a single point to win the boys crown, 293-292.
Ada finished fourth in the combined boys/girls standings with 224 points. Colonel Crawford was first (645), followed by Upper Sandusky (562) and Bluffton (435).
The Bulldogs visit county rival Kenton Tuesday, January 30 in a dual meet at the Hardin County YMCA starting at 6 p.m.
