Seminar on combating financial exploitation of seniors
Hardin County residents are encouraged to "Get involved. Stay safe. Combating financial exploitation!"
From 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, the Hardin County Council on Aging, 100 Memorial Ave., Kenton, will host a program providing valuable information on:
- What is financial explitation
- Why older adults are targeted
- Risk factors of financial exploitation
- Abuse later in life
- Forms of abuse
- How forms of financial abuse occur
- Scams
- Who are the abusers
- What you can do
The event is presented by the Ohio Coalition for Adult Protective Services and sponsored by HealthPath. The program is also promoted by the Area Agency on Aging.
