UPDATED Ada School Board invites community to Superintendent search focus group
February 5 UPDATE: A virtual focus group survey is HERE.
Dear Member of the Ada Exempted Village School Community:
The Ada Board of Education has contracted with the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) to assist in our search for a new superintendent. The board hopes to complete the search in the spring and the new superintendent is expected to begin work in our district this summer.
In our effort to make the best possible selection, we have included in the search process a time for OSBA consultant Quinn Maceyko to meet with our staff and community to conduct several focus groups. The focus groups are intended to help augment the profile we have developed for Ada's next leader. Common themes will help us as we evaluate potential candidates. These conversations will take place on Wednesday, February 7 - and will focus on three areas:
(1) Key issues, challenges or opportunities for the school district;
(2) Performance experience or expectations for the next superintendent; and (3) Leadership characteristics that should be evident in the next superintendent.
You are a valued participant and stakeholder in the Ada school community and your input is important. Please consider attending the focus group at the time and location below:
6 p.m. Open to any Ada Exempted Village Schools community members
Location: Auditorium
If you cannot attend the focus group in-person, a survey will be available for input beginning Monday, February 5 and close Friday, February 9.
On behalf of the entire board of education, thank you in advance for your willingness to participate and for your dedication to all students in Ada Schools.
Sincerely,
Ron Fleming
President, Ada Board of Education
