Kenyon E. Gibson, age 65, of Dola and formerly of Ada, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. 

He was born in Lima, Ohio on April 14, 1958, to Thomas and Christina (Martin) Gibson, Jr.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ada. 

Also surviving is his son, Tommy Gibson of Ada; a granddaughter, Valari Kaylynn Gibson; and two sisters: Christina (Dan) Brown of Ada and Kalua (George) Sleesman of Ada. 

Kenyon retired in 2016 after working for over twenty-five years in the print shop and maintenance department for Ohio Northern University, Ada.  He was a member of the Grace Gospel Church, Ada and a member of the Liberty Conservation Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served from 1976-1980, as a fire control tech seaman, where he received the Battle Effectiveness Award and Good Conduct Award.  

Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada with graveside military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard and the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard. 

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Wednesday, March 6th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
